I use the converter on a Nikon 300mm vr and it works great images are as sharp as the lens alone. I think the price is a little high but it's a good lens

I bought this for my Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR. Focus is quick and pics are sharp even wide open. I would recommend this over the TC-1.7 which I also own. I only wish that Nikon had included a pouch for it like the one that came with my 1.7
